EDGE IN CASAMANCE

Once upon a time, there was a young girl named Azura living in Casamance, Senegal; on Fridays after school she would sit on the edge of the Casamance river while the water brushed against her feet. Her gaze into the distance was always deep in thoughts, she would dream of who she wanted to be and all she wanted to give to the world. Her mind was always in a state of beautiful chimes, filled with possibilities.

Years later....Azura grows into a gorgeous woman. She still believes in new possibilities however the 'fear of the unknown' has become her achilles heel.

Azura sits on the same edge of the Casamance river of her youth, but this time she gazes at the 'fear of the unknown' while the water brushes against her feet; suddenly the sky goes dark and a light force surrounds her and says:

“There is freedom waiting for you,
On the breezes of the sky,
And you ask "What if I fall?"
Oh but my darling,
What if you fly?”

Flashes of wasted time and opportunities start to roll down Azura's cheeks and she says to the angel 'I'm old now', the angel replied 'as long as you have breath in you, you still have strength in you'; so get up and march through your fear before it cripples you.

March on! Only look back to see how far you've come.
